Serdang, 15 May - A total of four staffs of Institute of Tropical Agriculture (ITA) have been given recognition of Excellency Service Award 2013 at the 'Majlis Putra Gemilang 2014' held at Pusat Kesenian dan Kebudayaan Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (PKKSAAS) today. They are:

1. Mrs. Sarah Salwah Adnan (Senior Assistant Registrar)
2. Ms. Azilah Ab. Jalil (Research Officer)
3. Mrs. Hairen Maswati Hashim(Assistant Science Officer)
4. Mrs. Norhasimah Sulaiman (Admin Assistant)

One of ITA's Research Associates, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ganesan a/l Vadamalai, also has been awarded the Excellency Service Award.In the same ceremony, Mr. Zainudin Mohd Ali has been awarded with Jasa Putra award as an appreciation of his efforts during his tenure at the university. Awards and certificates of appreciation were presented by the Vice-Chancellor of UPM, Prof. Datuk Dr. Fauzi Hj. Ramlan.
