Bukit Goh, 17 February 2024- Four officers of the Institute of Tropical Agriculture and Food Security (ITAFoS) have implemented a knowledge transfer program for FELDA Settler Development Program (PPP) participants at Felda Bukit Goh, Kuantan. 29 participants consisting of settlers from FELDA Bukit Goh, Pahang who are participants of FELDA's PPP who farm honeybees and meat rabbits participated in this workshop.

The objective of this workshop is to empower the FELDA settler community that participates in the PPP in the FELDA Bukit Goh Plan, Pahang through the transfer of knowledge regarding farm financial management, potential, and information sharing about agricultural development incentive opportunities. In addition to disclosures about the farm's financial management, officials from the Kuantan District Agriculture Office namely Mrs. Norain bin Azhar, Mrs. Anis Zuraida bin Ishak, and Mr. Muhammad Zulkifli bin Ghazali were also invited to share information about myGAP and organic certification schemes to the participants.

The modules carried out throughout the program aim to provide exposure and channel information and advanced guidance regarding aspects of farm financial management, exposure to good agricultural practices, how to add value to livestock products, as well as convey information about agricultural development incentives that can be obtained by participants if they want to increase the scale or diversify the agricultural commodities they want to cultivate.

The ITAFoS hopes that this partnership can provide additional knowledge to the participants in farm management and further develop the agricultural activities carried out.
