The Emergency Response Team (ERT) Committee, Institute of Tropical Agriculture and Food Security (ITAFoS) has organized a briefing entitled "Incident Action Plan 2021" on 20 January 2022. This briefing was held to meet the needs of organizing training that has been set for the year 2021, by the Office of Occupational Safety and Health Management Universiti Putra Malaysia. However, the briefing could not be implemented in 2021 due to unavoidable reasons. The objective of this briefing was to provide exposure to ITAFoS staff on the functions of ERT as well as the responsibilities and roles of ERT-ITAFoS Committee Members (ERT-ITAFoS), apart of explaining to staff regarding building evacuation procedures.

The briefing began with a welcome speech by the Director of ITAFoS, Prof. Dr. Mohd Rafii Yusop. Next, the "Objectives of the Incident Action Plan" was presented by the Incident Commander of JK ERT-ITAFoS, Prof. Prof. Dr. Hasliza Abu Hassim. The presentation of the "Incident Action Plan" was presented by the Deputy Commander of ERT-ITAFoS, Mr. Eddy Shahriza Jamein. The video on "Building Evacuation Procedure" was also shown to ITAFoS staff to visually explain on the procedure.

The briefing ended with a photo session. Through this program, it is hoped to increase the awareness of ITAFoS staff on safety aspects while at UPM and be able to take appropriate action in the event of an emergency.
