On 27 – 29 September 2022, Poultry Feed Formulation And Production Skill Improvement Course was held for vocational college instructors from all over Malaysia. The aim of this course is to give exposure to vocational college teaching staff related to the management and manufacture of poultry feed.

A total of 19 teachers from Kolej Vokasional (Agriculture) Teluk Intan, Perak; Kolej Vokasional (Agriculture) Chenor, Pahang; Kolej Vokasional Dato' Lela Maharaja Rembau, Negeri Sembilan; Kolej Vokasional      Pasir Puteh, Kelantan; and Kolej Vokasional Lahad Datu, Sabah, attended this 3-day course successfully.

This course was conducted by experts in the field of poultry farming from staff and associate researchers of ITAFoS. The course was held theoretically and practically to ensure the effectiveness of the             course.   The content of the course covered farm management, feed formulation, and the nutrient requirements for poultry.

A visit to Nutri Vet Livestock Sdn. Bhd in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan was organized for participants to learn about the animal feed formulations which was presented by Nutri Vet Livestock’s Manager, Mr. Tham Ming Sum.

  Overall, it can be seen that this course helped the vocational college in the process of teaching and transferring knowledge to teachers in particular and students, as well as helping in the improvement of the poultry industry in this country.
