Serdang – 6 November 2025, Institute of Tropical Agriculture and Food Security (ITAFoS) extends its highest congratulations to two researchers who have successfully secured the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) for the year 2025.

Among this year’s FRGS recipients are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nor Khaizura Mahmud, Head of the Food Safety and Food Integrity Laboratory, who received a grant worth RM135,200, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahidah Sukor, Associate Researcher at the Food Safety and Food Integrity Laboratory, who received a grant worth RM162,800.

Both recipients were celebrated at the 2025 Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) Research Grant Award Ceremony, held in conjunction with the Festival of Ideas on 6 November 2025 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).

This achievement reflects the excellence and dedication of the researchers in strengthening a culture of high-impact research and contributing to knowledge development in line with the aspirations of the Ministry of Higher Education.

The community of the Institute of Tropical Agriculture and Food Security (ITAFoS) congratulates and commends them on this accomplishment. It is hoped that the grants received will be fully utilized to produce innovative, relevant research that benefits society and the nation.
