5^th September 2024 – IPT Food Security Nexus Strategic Plan Workshop was held at Smart Classroom, Faculty of Engineering, UPM which was chaired by ITAFoS's Director Prof. Dr. Anjas Asmara @Abd Hadi Samsudin.

Experts from UPM have been invited to give the ideas a strategic plan and action for IPT's Food Security Nexus led by Prof. Dato' Dr. Zulkifli Idrus while for the expertise database system it is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurfadlina Mohd Shareef. The IPT Food Security Nexus Team is led by the Institute of Tropical Agriculture and Food Security (ITAFoS) to mobilize UPM as the leader of the food security agenda among IPTs in Malaysia.

Through this nexus will discuss, identify and highlight all related issues under the scope of the Food Security Eco-system that supports the initiative, UPM as the leader and Ultimate Champion & Solver for Food Security Issues in Malaysia.
