SERDANG, January 16, 2026 – The Welfare and Recreation Club (KKDR) of the Institute of Tropical Agriculture and Food Security (ITAFoS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), organised a Yasin Recitation and Tahlil Ceremony to pray for the late father of Puan Noor Izura Ibrahim.

The ceremony, which took place at 3.00 p.m. at the Faculty of Agriculture Surau (Prayer Hall), was attended by KKDR members and Muslim staff of ITAFoS. The programme began with the recitation of Surah Yasin, followed by tahlil and supplications led by Encik Afham, who was appointed to officiate the proceedings.

The organisation of this ceremony reflects the care and strong sense of togetherness among the ITAFoS community in supporting members during times of hardship. Such initiatives are also in line with KKDR’s efforts to strengthen welfare values, foster camaraderie, and promote harmony among the institution’s workforce.

The ceremony was further marked by the presentation of a token of sympathy, contributed through sincere donations from ITAFoS staff, which was presented by the Deputy Director of ITAFoS, Prof. Dr. Hasliza Abu Hassim, to Puan Izura as a gesture of solidarity and compassion.

KKDR extends its highest appreciation and sincere thanks to all parties who attended and were directly involved in ensuring the success of this ceremony.
